Questions

What does the person have to do each day?

Tap one button. The screen says good morning by name, and the button sits in the same place every day.

What happens if they do not answer?

After the wait you chose — 35 minutes by default — the people on the list receive one text saying the morning check-in has not been answered, and that they may want to check in. It never claims anything medical.

Do the people we tell need the app?

No. They receive an ordinary text message. They never install anything.

What if the phone is off or broken?

The check happens on our server, not on the phone, so silence still results in the text going out. No app can promise a message will always arrive, which is why Support-O is not a monitoring or emergency service.

Is the medication list sent anywhere?

No. Medications, pill photographs, exercises and water goals stay on the phone. Our server keeps only the first name, time zone, morning time, waiting time, language, the contacts' names and numbers, and whether the button was pressed today. See the privacy notice.

Can a contact stop the texts?

Yes. Replying STOP stops them immediately, and the app shows the person that the contact has opted out. The person using the app can also remove anyone at any time.

What does it cost?

Support-O is in testing and free for testers. Pricing for the public release will be shown here before it starts, and anyone testing will be told first.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 7 and newer today. An iPhone version is being prepared.

Who makes it?

I Called Twice LLC, a family company in Aurora, Oregon. More about us.
